Biography

Steve Tissenbaum has over 15 years of teaching entrepreneurship and strategic management, as well as related courses in Retail, Marketing and Finance.

As a certified member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, Steve’s corporate experience includes consulting to the Strategic Planning group of ICI America, The Bay and Levis; Strategic Marketing Management for a 350-million-dollar service product portfolio with Digital Equipment Corporation, then the second largest computer company in the world; National Sales Manager for Tennessee Associates International, a TQM consulting firm to the Weston Group, Coca-Cola International, and Harley Davidson Motorcycle Co. As a successful entrepreneur he founded and operated a Daycare Center, an antique business and WOWnetwork.ca, the first condominium digital screen notice board initiative in Canada.

As a regular media interviewee, Steve offers his perspective on the retail landscape in Canada with a focus on omnichannel retailing. In 1999, as a Board member of The E-Commerce Institute at Centennial College, with the support of Don Tapscott, a world-renowned author specializing in the role of technology in business and society, he helped to lay the groundwork for the graduates in the study of electronic commerce. Steve’s current consulting focuses on acting as an advisor to student new venture startups, some of which have gone on to success, while others are still in the development stage.
