Biography

Carol’s career has taken three streams; Communications, Hospitality/Tourism Management and Higher Education.  Through these streams Carol has demonstrated strong leadership attributes; an appreciation for evolution (organizational and technological change), very relatable; whether communicating with colleagues, business partners or students.  Carol has been teaching at George Brown College for the past four years.  She has been teaching since 2010 at Humber, George Brown, Seneca, and Georgian College. Carol delivered Business Courses in the Degree, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Programs.

As a professor, Carol believed that all students, given the right supportive learning environment, can achieve the highest level of education they so desire. College students are already half full in their respective reservoir of knowledge.  As a Business Industry expert, Carol will add to that reservoir some of the most important skills; critical thinking, problem solving, and great team spirit. Carol consistently aim at creating a positive, engaging and learner-centric atmosphere for all students.

Executed all phases of new Day Nursery – ages 6 months to 6 years from creating Business Plan to Launch. Recruited all staff inclusive of the Centre Administrator and Early Childhood Educators.2015-Present: Official Agent (Chief Financial Officer) Federal ElectionsPresent: VP, Special Event & Fundraising, Humber River – Black Creek Riding Association. Solicit community residents and businesses for donations, organize events.Currently: Founding member of Carol’s Foundation that has launched the first computer lab at a Primary School in Jamaica, 1996.

Awards

Bell Canada President’s Club Award for exemplary work accomplished in IT/TelecommunicationsAppreciation Award for implemented and launched the first Christian Day Care for the Church of God in Mississauga, accommodating four programs; Infants, Toddlers, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten with capacity of 48 children.Certification of Merit from Humber College: In 1994, among ten Cohorts of Humber College who set-up and launch the first restaurant to accommodate physically challenged Actors of Famous People Players to work in the restaurant donated to them by Paul Simon. Was also recognized in the book written by Diane Depuy, Famous People Players Managing Director/owner.
