This course is designed for advanced ESL students who want to learn standard essay writing formats. Students must already have a solid prior knowledge of paragraph writing. Students build on this process by expanding into essay writing formats. The essay writing process enables an ESL student to express and argue more complex ideas in written form. This course focuses on various central themes to essay writing, such as standard essay structures, audience and purpose, and linking of complex ideas.

Prerequisites: You must have completed ESL 9073 or you must score high enough on the placement test to be assigned to ESL 9069.
