Under the new Academic Collective Agreement, partial-load faculty who have taught a specific course in a department or school may have priority to teach that course again based on their total service credits.
Total service credits are considered only when it is determined by the chair that the same course will be taught by a partial-load employee.
To receive priority consideration for partial load assignments in the next calendar year, currently and previously employed partial-load faculty must register their interest in teaching by October 30 each and every year.
The registry will open this year beginning October 1, 2018 and close October 30. In future years, the registry will be open January 1 through to October 30.
Anyone who had a partial load assignment between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018 is already deemed registered for 2019 calendar year only.
To register (or confirm that you have been registered), please click on the button link below where you will be asked to input your name and employee ID:
When registration is complete, you will be sent a confirmation to your active George Brown email. This email will also confirm the courses you taught as partial load.
As the Partial Load Registry roles out we will establish an FAQ to respond to common questions and issues. In the interim, if you have any questions about the partial load registry please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
