Government regulations as well as an aging population are creating growing opportunities for American Sign Language interpreters or intervenors. The Access for Ontarians with Disabilities Act states that by 2025, all services and information available to Ontarians must meet accessibility standards. As the population ages, more people will have acquired hearing issues and vision loss requiring assistance from trained professionals.
