Doreen Pashkoff, Co-op Coordinator
Doreen brings a wealth of experience in her role as Co-op Coordinator for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) for the School of Hospitality Management. She has worked in Field Education for 15 years at the College: 10 years in Business Co-operative Education and 5 years in the Hospitality Diploma Externship program. Previous to her tenure at George Brown College, Doreen spent 15 years working in Field Education with the Toronto Board of Education and the Toronto District School Board in all Coop programs. This experience has enabled her to place our BBA students for their two mandatory co-op work terms in both entry level and supervisory positions at companies like the Ritz Carlton, Starwood resorts, TD Wealth, and Kleinfeld bridal boutique.
What’s the best part about her job? "I have the opportunity to change people’s lives and that is an experience that I do not take lightly. To observe the growth of a Hospitality student at the beginning and completion of their Coop or Externship within their Industry is a special moment and when they become the supervisor and employer to a new student it comes full circle in the process for me."

Andrea E. Low, Coordinator – CHCA Externships & Co-Op
A self-proclaimed “hospitality enthusiast”, Andrea entered the industry during a summer job and never looked back. She began her career in the Rooms Division department, but quickly changed her focus to Food and Beverage after encountering a very dynamic Food and Beverage Cost Control teacher, during her studies in Switzerland. Andrea has worked in hotels (airport, boutique, conference, luxury, resort, Head office), private yacht and golf clubs, high volume event venues as well as off-premise catering companies. One of many highlights of her career came in 2010, when Andrea was employed as the Conference Services Manager for the G20 Summit in Toronto; working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Andrea’s various roles during her 35+ years in the hospitality industry makes her the ideal candidate to help place George Brown College School of Hospitality and Tourism Management diploma students in their Industry Externship. She has practical experience in each of the four programs taught at the college.
Andrea enjoys meeting the students and speaking with them to discover where their passions exist for the industry, ensuring a great match for the student and the field placement employer. “It is so rewarding to see a student enjoying their field placement. You can hear the excitement in their voice, as they apply the skills which they have learned at George Brown College and become more confident in their work. Many of our students receive job offers while out on their field placement. I take great satisfaction in that fact; knowing that I was able to help our students in some small way, on to their path to success.”
