McDonald’s and Ontario Colleges have partnered to offer educational opportunities for McDonald’s employees to pursue post-secondary education in Business programs at colleges throughout Ontario.
Business Programs at George Brown
The Centre for Business at George Brown College prepares students for successful careers in the fast-paced business world. Toronto is Canada’s hub for business, finance, innovation and infrastructure development, offering tremendous opportunities to our
graduates. The following Business Diploma programs are eligible for qualified candidates as part of the Ontario Colleges Credit Transfer Program:
College Advanced Diploma Program - Business Administration (B145/B155)
The 3-year Business Administration program is designed to offer the widest range of possible career choices and opportunities in a variety of business disciplines. Graduates are prepared to work in diverse team settings and lead projects with relevant

two Work Experience terms in addition to the academic courses.)
College Diploma Program – Business (B125)
The 2-year Business diploma program prepares students to carry out a variety of business functions within local, national and global settings. Graduates will have demonstrated a practical understanding of key principles and practices necessary for success
in the field of business.

How does it work?
George Brown College will grant credit for the first year of our Business Diploma Program (B125) or Business Administration Advanced Diploma program (B145/B155) to McDonald’s Second Assistant Managers who have completed the Management Development Program
Level 2 (MDP), with the following additional requirements to complete the diploma program:
- Math Assessment
- Communications Assessment
- One General Education Elective Course
Upon completion of McDonald’s Management Development Program Level 2 (MDP), successful applicants to George Brown College’s Business Diploma Program (B125) or Business Administration Advanced Diploma program (B145/B155) can be accepted directly into the
3rd semester of those programs.

Step 1: Apply to George Brown College, choosing the advanced standing application option on the Ontario College Application Service (ontariocolleges.ca) and apply to the Business Diploma Program (B125) or the Business Administration Advanced Diploma
program (B145 or B155). On the “Program Choice” screen, select “Entry Level 3”.
Step 2: When your application is received, you will receive a letter requesting post-secondary transcripts and course outlines. At this time you will be required to provide the following documents to the Registrar's Office at George Brown College:
- McDonald’s Canada Training Verification form (signed by a McDonald’s Regional Training Manager; the training must be completed within three years of the application)
- Any additional post-secondary transcripts you may have
