The successful completion of a School of Human Resources program allows you to work towards obtaining the professional designation by Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).

The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL)

The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL) logo

While completing our programs, students of the School of Human Resources may pursue a Training and Development Stream of study. Upon successful completion of the Training and Development Stream, students are eligible for a credit of one year toward the work experience requirement of the Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation offered through the Institute for Performance and Learning. Students are also eligible for a student membership with the I4PL.

The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)

The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) logo

The CPA is the only association in Canada offering payroll certifications including the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM). George Brown College has been recognized by the CPA as a provider of courses that are valid equivalents of PCP/CPM academic requirements. Students interested in gaining additional knowledge and practical experience in the area of Payroll Administration may pursue the Payroll Practitioner Stream (PPS) of study.

Program Advisory Committee

These experts include prominent members of the HR business community, alumni, faculty and other leaders who come together as part of the Program Advisory Committee. In this capacity, the committee shares their thoughts on current needs and trends in their industries, recommending updates and changes to the curriculum.
