Biography

Luba is a dynamic, motivated, and innovative educator with strong leadership, planning and program management skills. Her in-depth expertise, which focuses on responding to the changing global, economic, and technological landscape and demands of students, is in the development and implementation of new courses and the ongoing review of existing programs. With over 15 years of extensive and versatile experience, in both teaching and program administration, and a passion for the field of Adult Education, in the areas of Second Language Acquisition and TESL, she has created an organic, inclusive, respectful, supportive, and encouraging Con Ed ESL teaching/learning environment. This has provided students, instructors, and staff the opportunity to have a sense of belonging and be active and successful contributors to the College community. Luba also sits on a Program Review Committee, liaises with internal stakeholders, across the College, and builds external partnerships (TESL ON, British Council, Paragon Testing Enterprises, CICan) to ensure viability and sustainability of the Con Ed ESL programs and alignment with the College’s vision and strategy.
