Anh Hoang (Badminton)

Anh Hoang (Vietnam) is now a perfect four-for-four in finals appearances through two tournaments, and on Sunday afternoon the second-year Husky won her first gold of the season in mixed doubles play with partner Ace Zeng. Hoang defeated Humber in a three-set battle to earn the title, and the 2018 national silver medalist and provincial gold medalist also earned a silver medal in women's singles play, her third of the young season. With the gold and trio of runner-up finishes, she is again establishing herself among the best women's singles players in the country.

Next up, Huskies badminton will travel to London for the Fanshawe Invitational from November 16-18.

Liban Mohamed (Men's Basketball)

Huskies men's basketball improved to 4-0 on Saturday with a 99-70 route of Canadore, and 6'4" Toronto native Liban Mohamed led the way with a 24 point, six rebound performance. Mohamed shot an efficient 10-for-21 from the floor, including 4-for-10 from beyond the arc, to up his team-best scoring average to 18.5 points a night. The two-guard has been particularly effective from deep - he currently ranks fifth in Ontario with 13 made three-point attempts and is shooting a solid 36.1%. He is one of five Huskies currently averaging double-figures, and alongside Teshayn Gayle, Chris Fields and Kevon Guiseppi-Mascoe has turned George Brown into one of the deepest teams at guard in Ontario.

Next up, the Huskies will play host to Georgian on Tuesday night at Casa Loma.
