Gayle's near triple-double helped earn him 40th Annual George Brown Tournament MVP honours, while Costanzo was named to the Tournament All-Star Team.

Teshayn Gayle (Men’s Basketball)

Down three with the shot clock winding down, Teshayn Gayle drilled a triple from the top of the key to send Saturday afternoon’s semi-final matchup with Durham to overtime at the 40th Annual George Brown Tournament. The Huskies would go on to capture the title, with Gayle as the catalyst. The whip-fast point guard would finish with 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the win over the Lords, followed by a 21 point, five rebound performance in the championship-clinching victory over St. Clair. Gayle was named Tournament MVP for his incredible three-game run.

Adam Costanzo (Men’s Basketball)

Costanzo and swingman Nick McDonald combined to wreak havoc on the wing this weekend, and both were rewarded for their play by being named to the Tournament All-Star team. In the championship-winning game, Costanzo had a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double and added two steals. He made numerous key defensive plays throughout the weekend, and finished with 11 points and three boards in the tournament opening win over Mohawk. The 6'5" combo-forward continues to establish himself among the provinces elite rookies. George Brown resumes second-half play on Friday at Fleming.
