The undefeated George Brown women’s basketball team (9-0, 1st east) will head to Niagara County Community College in New York this weekend for a pair of games at the Thunderwolves Classic to wrap up 2017.

It’s been a memorable first half for the perfect Huskies, as the program has transformed into an elite outfit on both sides of the ball. Second-year head coach Warren Williams has had great success implementing his high-pressure style of play, and the result has been a team that forces the second most turnovers in the province and allows just over 60 points a night.

On the offensive side of the ball, George Brown is the second highest scoring team in the province, averaging over 80 points per game. Leading the way has been the high-scoring duo of point guard Aprille Deus and wing Tianna Sullivan. Sullivan is currently the provinces fourth highest scorer (19.7 ppg) and has greatly improved her efficiency from the field, shooting 42.7%. She also became the program’s all-time leading scorer in the first half, and her versatility has been key on both ends of the court.

Aprille Deus has established herself among the best point guards in the country, and she is now averaging 14.2 point, a team-high 4.2 steals and six assists a night. Her and Sullivan have combined for eight steals a game, and have wreaked havoc on opponents for 94-feet. Deus has also become the team's vocal leader, taking charge both from the court and sidelines.

On Saturday they will take on the Genessee Community College Cougars at 5:30 p.m., on Sunday the Niagara Thunderwolves at 2:00 p.m.
