Ace Zeng won two titles at the Kim Ng Invitational, while Yunji Kim earned three top-four finishes.

Ace Zeng (Badminton)

First-year Husky Ace Zeng continued what has been a memorable opening semester this weekend, starring at George Brown’s own Kim Ng Open Invitational. On Saturday Zeng went undefeated to capture the men’s singles title, and he followed that performance with another perfect run in mixed doubles on Sunday morning. He capped the two-day Invitational with a semi-finals appearance in men’s doubles. Zeng has now earned four first-place finishes in the past two events that he has entered, and is clearly among the province's best freshmen players.

Yunji Kim (Badminton)

OCAA All-Star Yunji Kim was remarkably consistent at the Kim Ng Open Invitational this weekend, earning a top-four finish in each of the three draws she entered. The Loma native nearly earned a women’s doubles title on Sunday night, narrowly falling in the championship game. She competed in the semi-finals in both women’s singles and mixed doubles play. Kim has now earned top-four finishes in all six of the most recent draws that she has been entered in.
