George Brown hosted the two-day Kim Ng Open Invitational
this weekend at St. James Campus, with seven institutions and 40 public
players participating. Saturday's action included men’s singles, women’s
singles and mixed doubles play, while Sunday included the conclusion of mixed
doubles, as well as men’s and women’s doubles.
George Brown’s Ace Zeng continued what has been an excellent
season, winning a title in both men’s singles and mixed doubles competition
while earning a semi-final berth in men's doubles.
The Huskies women's duo of Angeline Alviar and Yunji Kim
finished second in women's doubles, while head coach Will Schram and Howard
Wong were men's doubles semi-finalists. Kim was also a women's singles and
mixed doubles semi-finalist with partner Alex Chao.
