Williams has been coaching basketball since 1993 with a history of success under his leadership.  From his first championship with his first team at Dr. Marion Hilliard Senior Public School to recent championships with high school teams and Provincial teams, Williams has emphasized his philosophy of Family First. Williams was part of Team Ontario coaching staffs that won a National Championship in 2011 and 2015 and a Canada Summer Games Gold Medal in 2013, and head coach of a Bronze Medallist in 2016.  He has won three Ontario Cup medals, including a Gold Medal in 2005, and two Ontario Summer Games medals, including a Gold Medal in 2010.  As a high high school teacher at Applewood Heights Secondary School in Mississaugasince 2006, he has led teams to four ROPSSAA (Region of Peel Secondary Schools Athletic Association) championships, including back to back Senior Girls championships in 2015 and 2016.

Williams graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts with Specialized Honours in Kinesiology and Health Science and Education.  He, his wife Luana, and his two daughters Quiara and Sayonna, reside in Burlington.
