Current George Brown College students are now able to book tests online through the same website that Accessible Learning Services has made student accommodation plans available to view. This website allows a student to:
- Book upcoming tests to write in the Assessment Centre
- View upcoming test appointments
- View accommodation plans
Please note that all online bookings must be done at least 7 calendar days before the test date. Any bookings made with less than 7 calendar days will not be accepted by the system.
To Access Online Booking
To book a test online, go to the Accessible Learning Services portal and click on the "Book a test" link.
Frequently Asked Questions
I booked for the wrong day/time in the online module or am unable to make my appointment time and need to reschedule. How do I do this?
If you have made a mistake in your booking or your test appointment needs to be changed for other reasons, please contact the Assessment Centre immediate and we will try to arrange the correct appointment. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the next appointment time.
I am trying to book a test online but did not give 7 calendar days’ notice so the module would not let me. What are my options?
Without booking 7 calendar days in advance, we cannot guarantee your booking. If you have a valid reason for not being able to give sufficient notice, contact us (phone, email or in-person) and we will get back to you about whether or not it is possible to write in the Assessment Centre.
I want to book an appointment for a different date than the rest of the class.
If you want to book an appointment for a date or time other than the class date and time, you must first get approval from your teacher. Students should be writing at the same time as the class unless they have this approval.
I’m not sure if I will be writing at the same time as the class or in the Assessment Centre at all, but want to book for that time just in case. Can I do this?
Absolutely. If you need to change the date and time for your booking, please contact your campus’s Assessment Centre (phone, email or in-person) and we will adjust your appointment for you. There is no penalty for no shows.
Does my teacher get informed when I have booked a test through the online module?
Yes, your teacher will be able to view that you have booked through their own online module. They will also be able to see what date and time your appointment is at.
I want to book online but require one-to-one support. Can I do this?
Yes. If you book a test through the online module that requires a Reader and/or a Scribe, Assessment Centre staff will get notice that you require one and book one for you. If you do not require one-to-one support for some tests, make sure to uncheck that option when choosing what test accommodations you require in the wizard.
