Alumni Book Club

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go." - Dr. Seuss

Be a part of the George Brown College Alumni Community’s online Book Club! It’s free and you can enjoy lively and engaging discussions as you read novels, books on personal growth, career management, biographies, and many more genres.

How It Works

Search for the title of the book at your local library, bookstore, or online. There will be two months dedicated to each book and during that time book club members will connect through a private forum led by a moderator to chat about various aspects of the story. If you have one to two hours a week to read, then you’ve got this!

Book: 'Rule of the Robots: How Artificial Intelligence Will Transform Everything' by Martin Ford

The New York Times–bestselling author of Rise of the Robots shows what happens as AI takes over our lives

If you have a smartphone, you have AI in your pocket. AI is impossible to avoid online. And it has already changed everything from how doctors diagnose disease to how you interact with friends or read the news. But in Rule of the Robots, Martin Ford argues that the true revolution is yet to come.

“Readers will come away with a good understanding of the technological fundamentals of AI and the debates concerning the likely impact of a maturing set of narrow AI technologies.”―Joshua Kim, Inside Higher Ed
