Accessibility at George Brown College

Accessibility is fundamental to George Brown College's core values of excellence, accountability, diversity and respect. As a college, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for everyone: employees, students and our community members.

As an organization, we recognize that all employees have a role in creating an accessible and inclusive community, in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This commitment to accessibility is a shared responsibility across the entire college, led by the AODA Coordinator.

To this end, George Brown was the first college in Ontario to make several organizational commitments towards creating an inclusive environment, including the creation of the AODA Coordinator position to improve accessibility college-wide and to ensure the college meets its legislative obligations.

We encourage everyone to review the following resources that further support our efforts towards creating and maintaining an accessible and inclusive community:

Please contact us via email if you experience any accessibility barriers or if you have any feedback on how we can continue to meet and exceed our obligations under the AODA. If you are currently experiencing a barrier to access at the college, please contact security: 416-415-4000, or 0 from a George Brown College internal Cisco phone.
