What is startGBC?
startGBC is a place for budding entrepreneurs to develop their ideas. We provide a space for students, alumni and community members to collaborate and learn from each other. The goal is to help foster an entrepreneurial spirit on campus while bringing great ideas to life.
If you want to be your own boss, like looking for new and better ways to do things, and you question conventional wisdom, the startGBC team wants to meet you!
Do you have an idea? Here’s how we can help
We can support you and your idea(s) in a variety of ways:
- We provide online resources so you’ll know about the various funding opportunities that could finance your idea.
- We offer a workspace environment that’s devoted to collaboration.
- We have dedicated mentors, professional service providers and the startGBC team who all share advice and guidance.
- We host programming and events during the year, featuring alumni entrepreneurs.
Check out our Collaboration Co-Working Space
We operate a co-working space within the George Brown Office of Research and Innovation at our Waterfront campus. This space celebrates peer to peer connections and coaching. As a student entrepreneur, you’ll have access to free co-working space, meeting rooms, mentors and more!
