Campaign Background and Update

“We knew our renovation and expansion would never happen without significant contributions from the foodservice industry. So we set a goal of $5 million, and we’re almost there.”
John Walker, Dean, Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts

The Yes Chef! Campaign is part of our ambitious $20-million facilities expansion and renewal plan to meet the demand for applicants to the Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts and provide even more work-ready graduates to the industry.

Our aim to bring together the industry, the community, and friends of George Brown to raise $5 million toward the overall goal has met with great success. Renovations are almost complete, and, as of October 1, 2009, we’ve raised $4.5 million dollars.

This generous support allows the College to increase food and hospitality programs and facilities, further a culture of advanced training driven by industry needs, and accommodate more of the students wishing to get into our programs.

With a successful campaign, the best will get even better at Canada’s premier centre of excellence for culinary and hospitality training.  We invite you to join us in supporting the Yes Chef! Campaign. Your support will help us to reach our Campaign goal.
