The Chefs’ House and Classrooms at 215 King Street East

The Chefs’ House, George Brown’s student-operated restaurant, advances real-time learning. Special features, events, and programs include:

  • A glass-canopied entrance leading into an open kitchen and dining room with a sleek, backlit counter island
  • Emerging Talent and Guest Chef Events and Urban Culinary Arts Workshops
    • In October 2008, Michael Stadtländer, Jamie Kennedy, and Marc Thuet were guest chefs for a series of dinners.
    • Through our Viva Italia program, we partner with schools in Alma, Italy, and host visiting chefs. We have also hosted a chef and sommelier from New York’s Hearth Restaurant.
  • Rising Star Dinner Series
  • Programming dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and nurturing the culinary heritage and diversity of Ontario and Canada
  • Special-event dinners, workshops, and awards that profile and celebrate locally grown and artisanal food products and wine
  • Six newly renovated classrooms on the top three floors with the latest technology for presentations, laptop hook-up, and WiFi
