Mental Health Day was started as an annual activity of the World
Federation for Mental Health and was first observed
on October
10 1992. The Day has become widely recognized as an opportunity
for governmental departments, organizations and dedicated individuals
to focus on aspects of mental health. Events such as this one will
be happening around the world.
George Brown has sponsored the following educational forums to celebrate
the day and the valuable work done by our 3 mental health programs:
For You, Assistant
Cook Extended Training (ACET) and Redirection
Through Education (RTE). Approximately 300 people attend these events
each year. Past year's forums have addressed:
