One of the most respected and versatile actors in the world, Mr. Carver
is an unparalleled Canadian talent whose stage, television and film work have garnered
him four Dora Mavor Moore Awards, two New York Drama Desk Awards, the Gemini Award and
the Tony Award.
Patricia Hamilton, Actor
Celebrated Canadian actress Patricia Hamilton
has over 43 years of experience on the stage and screen. Ms. Hamilton
served as Director of The Advanced Actors Workshop
at the Banff Centre for the Arts and has been the recipient
of a Brenda Donohue Award, Dora Mavor Moore Award, Genie Award, Gemini
Award and Silver Ticket Award.
Christopher Newton, Artistic Director
A true visionary of Canadian theatre,
Christopher Newton founded Theatre Calgary in 1968 and later became
Artistic Director of the Vancouver Playhouse. He served
as Artistic Director of the Shaw Festival from 1980-2002, and
was named a member of the Order of Canada in 1995.
Allen MacInnis, Artistic Director
Allen MacInnis is currently the Artistic
Director of the celebrated Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People in
Toronto. As Artistic Director of Winnipeg's Prairie
Theatre Exchange, he brought the Company worldwide recognition
by touring the award-winning play fareWel, by local First Nations playwright
Ian Ross, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Richard Rose, Artistic Director
Richard Rose, Artistic Director of the
notable Tarragon Theatre, is one of Toronto's most highly respected directors. Mr. Rose was the founding Artistic Director of
the distinguished Necessary Angel Theatre Company, a position he held from 1978 - 2002,
where he developed and produced over 40 plays including the worldwide
hit Tamara.
Marjorie Chan, Actor
Marjorie Chan, a George Brown Theatre School graduate
from 1996, won a 2003 Dora Mavor Moore Award for her performance in
the theatre-for-young-audience production
of The Seven Ravens. She recently received 2 Dora Mavor
Moore Award nominations as the writer and star of the play China Doll.
Shari Caldwell, Agent
Leading actor agent, Shari Caldwell has been working
with Toronto's
finest emerging and leading talent for 28 years. She
is a former president of TAMAC (Talent Agents and Managers Association
of Canada), and a founding member of the Canadian Academy
of Cinema and WIFT (Women in Film and Television).
Marsha Chesley, Casting Director
Toronto's busiest Casting Director,
Marsha Chesley has worked on hundreds of award-winning
film and television productions over 28 years. She
did the casting for the acclaimed CBC series This Is

Pamela Davenport-Earle, Fundraising Director
Pamela Davenport-Earle
has been a writer/producer of Canadian film and television for 14 years.
She is the founder of Spirit Express, a Toronto community musical
theatre program for teens. Currently she is the Director
of the George Brown Theatre School fundraising campaign.
Our Joint Venture with Soulpepper Theatre Company
The Soulpepper Theatre Company is
the second largest not-for-profit theatre company in
Toronto. Soulpepper's many awards include 11
Dora Mavor Moore Awards and the Mayor's Award for Youth
Outreach. Every year over 1,000 young people benefit
from the company's Youth Outreach
Initiatives. Now, George Brown Theatre School and Soulpepper
Theatre Company have formed a unique partnership to develop
a 44,000 square-foot,
multi-disciplinary performing arts, training, and
community outreach centre in the Toronto's Distillery
Historic District. Planned for completion by fall
2005, the Young Centre for
Performing Arts will provide a permanent home
for Soulpepper and the George Brown Theatre School.

Tarragon Theatre - George
Brown New Play Development
The acclaimed Tarragon Theatre is well known
for its development, creation and encouragement of new work. Each year,
the Tarragon works with students
in the George Brown Theatre School to select an appropriate
playwright who will script a work for George Brown's second year class.
