Sarah Babb

SARAH BABB
As a small child growing up in rural Newfoundland, Sarah was happiest when putting on a concert for family and friends. This happened "a lot" and no visitor to the Babb household could leave without attending a performance. Always anxious to pursue her passions, Sarah enrolled in singing, dance and drama lessons. Choirs and plays became a reason to attend school. Sarah has played such roles as Sarah Brown in GUYS AND DOLLS, Nicola in THREE BIRDS ALIGHTING ON A FIELD, Princess in THE PAPERBAG PRINCESS, Masha in THE THREE SISTERS, Cecily in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and was seen last summer in the play THE YOUNG VISITERS at the Toronto Fringe Festival.

Lara Berry LARA BERRY
Since she was young, Lara has been involved in many aspects of the performing arts around Toronto, her native home. She has worked in various theatre companies around the city and has entered the film and television world on several occasions. In her years at George Brown she has played such roles as Candida from CANDIDA, the Nurse from ROMEO AND JULIET, Jayne from ADULT ENTERTAINMENT, Tamora from TITUS ANDRONICUS, Gwendolen from THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, and most recently, Marianne from THREE BIRDS ALIGHTING ON A FIELD, directed by Leah Cherniak. Lara looks forward to the upcoming season at George Brown and can't wait to be a part of Canada's growing theatre scene.

Gordon Bolan GORDON BOLAN
While working on an English degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, Gord stumbled into an acting class and discovered two things: first, that he wanted to be an actor and second, that he had a great deal to learn. While at Laurier, he took part in as many productions as he could. Two of his favourites were SALT WATER MOON and a workshop performance of a new play PISCES IN A WATER SIGN. Upon his graduation from WLU with a degree in Theatre and Film Studies, he was accepted into the Acting Program at George Brown. Some of his favourite roles have been 'Man' in INCIDENT AT STANDISH ARMS, Macbeth, Treplev in THE SEAGULL, Det. Donny Deveraux in THE END OF CIVILIZATION, and Stephen Ryle in THREE BIRDS ALIGHTING ON A FIELD. Gord is thrilled to have had the chance to work with and learn from the staff and students here, and looks forward to new roles and challenges in the future.
Brett Christopher BRETT CHRISTOPHER
Brett is George Brown's resident restauranteur-cum-actor. Showing up late for the first day of his "Fruit Pastries of the World" course, he didn't realize he was in the wrong class until six months later when he decided he might as well stick with this "acting thing". His favourite roles at school have included: York in HENRY II, Pt.2; Astrov in UNCLE VANYA; Henry in THE END OF CIVILIZATION. He has also been seen as Prince Ronald in THE PAPERBAG PRINCESS, Yoyo in THREE BIRDS ALIGHTING ON A FIELD and will be performing the role of Lysander in the upcoming Equity Showcase/GB co-production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. An ardent feminist and actor, Brett believes that women should definitely have the opportunity to be the bread winner of the family, especially his.
Lisa Di Liberto LISA DI LIBERTO
Before committing herself to George Brown, Lisa toured China performing a Friendship show, played cello in Carnegie Hall, and appeared on stage at Hamilton Place, Theatre Aquarius and The Oakville Centre for Performing Arts. During her time at George Brown, Lisa enjoyed playing the innocent Emily in OUR TOWN, the passionate Irina in THE THREE SISTERS, the silent but sly Mlle. Y in THE STRONGER and the outrageous Mere Ubu in UBU ROI. Last year, Lisa had the opportunity to remount Nijinsky's RITE OF SPRING and perform it with the women in her class at George Brown. Lisa is anxious to explode into the world of theatre upon graduation.

LAUREN EVANS Lauren Evans
Lauren was almost born in Zimbabwe and then nearly came to be in South Africa, but her parents immigrated to Canada before her arrival. Lauren is inspired upon graduating from George Brown to assimilate herself with Toronto's professional theatre and dance communities - both of which she claims are the only reason she stays in this mountainless and oceanless city. Her favourite roles while at George Brown were Saint Joan, Mary Rutherford from RUTHERFORD AND SON, Denise from PROBLEM CHILD and Saint Frances from SAINT FRANCES OF HOLLYWOOD. She is excited to begin filling her resume with credits that are not all from George Brown Theatre School which will also enable her to stop using an embarrassingly enlarged font. She'd like to thank Big G, her family, best friends and Rob for their love and supreme patience throughout the past three vibrant years. So now.... BRING ON THE FUNK!
Jennifer Finestone JENNIFER FINESTONE
Raised in Ottawa, Jennifer returned to her birthplace of Montreal to attend McGill University. She is thrilled to be playing Hermia in the upcoming production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at Equity Showcase.
