Program Comparison Help

Decision-making made easy! This tool gives you a breakdown of individual programs offered at George Brown College and how they differ from other programs you’re interested in. Use this tool to select up to 10 programs to compare, helping you make the right choice for the career you want.

1. Under Program Comparison, click Add a New Program

2. Search for one of the programs you’re interested in (either alphabetically, by interest or by job)

3. Click on the title of the program in the menu

4. Click Add to Comparison

5. Continue searching for programs using steps 2-4

6. When you’re done, clicking Program Comparison will give you a preview of the programs and the option to delete, add or clear all

7. Open Program Compare for more details and an easy-to-read comparison of the programs you’ve selected

How to get involved

A great college experience is about finding balance. Of course you want to study hard, excel in your courses and gain work-ready skills. But you also want to make friends, experience new things and have fun. At George Brown College, there are a variety of ways you can get involved while preparing for your chosen career. We offer everything from student activities and politics, to athletics, to a range of clubs so you have the opportunity to shape your own unique college experience.

Black History Month
Black History Month in Canada is a celebration each February to formally recognize the achievements and contributions of African Canadians in our society, and showcase how they have helped shape and influence the communities we live in.

Nelson Mandela Long Walk to Freedom – Free Movie Screening
A chronicle of Nelson Mandela's life journey from his childhood in a rural village, through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa.

Talent Competition Auditions
Showcase your talent for a chance to win one of three cash prizes. Performance s will take place during the Black History Finale & Talent Show in the St James King’s Lounge. 1st place prize $300, 2nd place $200, and 3rd place $100!

Auditions will be held on February 12th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and February 17th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Life office at the St James campus, Room B130. Contact Andria Lewis-Alexander to book your audition time

Pink Triangle Day
Feb 14th marks the 30th anniversary of Pink Triangle Day, the queer holiday declared in 1979 to mark the first major legal victory for Canada's gay rights movement. Drop by the Student Life Office and Welcome Desks at each campus to learn a bit more on Friday, February 13th.

Come cheer on your favourite George Brown talent and see what your fellow students can do. 1st place voted talent will win $300, 2nd place will win $200, and 3rd place will win $100.
