Workshop Description
Learning Squares
"Learning Squares" is a faculty driven initiative that is designed to build community and improve teaching and learning through a series of structured, non-evaluative classroom observations and self-reflections. Basically, four faculty members are assigned to a square. Each member visits and observes the other’s classes. When all observations are complete, the Square meets and shares what they have learned about their teaching and reflects on how to develop teaching excellence. Learning Squares is an opportunity to share best practices and encourage a safe, respectful, and mutually-supportive environment for appreciating the challenges and joys of teaching.
