Externship Program Schedule

Our seven and 14-week unpaid externship programs provide unique benefits to our industry partners and diploma students. An externship student provides industry with an opportunity to explore potential future employees, and mentor young people as they enter this exciting industry.

The following programs include an externship component:


Hospitality Diploma Programs:

Food and Beverage Management Two (2) year diploma Students work (unpaid) for 14 weeks, 24 hours per week January - April
Hotel Management Two (2) year diploma Students work (unpaid) for 7 weeks, 24 hours per week Sept./Oct. & Nov./Dec.
Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Two (2) year diploma Students work (unpaid) for 7 weeks, 24 hours per week Jan./Feb. & Mar./April
Special Events Planning Two (2) year diploma Students work (unpaid) for 7 weeks, 24 hours per week Jan./Feb. & Mar./April

Culinary Management – Nutrition

Two (2) year diploma

Students work (unpaid) for 7 weeks, 24 hours per week

Mar./April

Hospitality Services

One (1) year certificate

Students work (unpaid) for 7 weeks, 24 hours per week, excluding Mondays
