Program Comparison Help

Decision-making made easy! This tool gives you a breakdown of individual programs offered at George Brown College and how they differ from other programs you’re interested in. Use this tool to select up to 10 programs to compare, helping you make the right choice for the career you want.
Instructions:

1. Under Program Comparison, click Add a New Program

2. Search for one of the programs you’re interested in (either alphabetically, by interest or by job)

3. Click on the title of the program in the menu

4. Click Add to Comparison

5. Continue searching for programs using steps 2-4

6. When you’re done, clicking Program Comparison will give you a preview of the programs and the option to delete, add or clear all

7. Open Program Compare for more details and an easy-to-read comparison of the programs you’ve selected

Now in its third year, VIVA ITALIA! 2011 features the exceptional talents of our Italian Culinary Arts Students with leading Chefs from Italy and Ontario

Toronto, ON (February 4, 2011) — From Tuesday, February 22 to Friday, February 25, the George Brown Chef School and The Chefs’ House are once again home to Viva Italia!, an exclusive four-day festival celebrating the Italian culinary tradition. Media are invited to attend the following events:

“La Tavola Rotonda” (The Round Table) Lunches & Dinners at the Chef’s Table, Culinary Studio
WHAT:   Authentic Italian dishes served as multi-course meals, prepared by Italian Program Student Chefs 
WHERE: Room 219, Culinary Studio, George Brown College Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts, 300 Adelaide St. East

Dinner with Rising Star Chefs Tania Ganassini (Canoe) and John Vetere (Scarpetta)
WHAT:   A five-course dinner with wine pairings presented by recent Graduates of George Brown’s Italian Culinary Arts Program, Tania Ganassini and John Vetere, with assistance from current student chefs who have just returned from Italy and ALMA, La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana

Viva Italia! Gala Tasting Reception
WHAT:   Viva Italia’s Highlight – the Gala Tasting Reception featuring chefs from Italy and across Ontario

WHEN:   Thursday, February 24, 2011
                6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
WHO:     Chef Gabriele Paganelli, Romagna Mia; Chef Rob Gentile, Buca; Chef Fabio Bondi, The Local Kitchen & Bar Salumi; Chef Andrew Milne, Zucca; Luis Valenzuela, Torito; Chef Mario Pingue, Niagara Food Specialties Inc.; and many more. Brunello Fine Imported Specialty Foods & Wines, Saputo Cheese & Dairy, Marca Trevigiana Wine imports, and Peroni Nastro Azzurro Beer to also take part in this Gala event.
