EATING OUR WORDS Culinary Literary Event

WHO: George Brown Chef School will play host to a truly delicious literary
panel. Join prominent Toronto writers for an evening to discuss the diverse
tastes of the Canadian food writers industry.
In this unprecedented event, first year Culinary Arts students will
welcome Canada's leading food writers into their school as part
of their Culinary Industry Connection course - designed to connect students
with industry.
Panelists: James Chatto, Naomi Duguid & Jeffrey Alford, Gina Mallet,
Elizabeth Baird, John Allemang, Bonnie Stern and Marion Kane.
Moderator: Ian Brown of Globe & Mail and TVO fame.
WHAT: Under moderator Ian Brown's guidance, panelists will address
questions such as: what constitutes provocative food writing, how an
audience is identified, what continues to motivate the writing; and to
propose a vision on where Canadian food writing should be heading - are
there young voices that warrant attention?
WHEN: Tuesday, December 6th, 2005, 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. WHERE:
George Brown Chef School, 300 Adelaide St. East
WHY: Come join Toronto's culinary luminaries, writers and the
future chefs of George Brown Chef School in this memorable opportunity.
Toronto's Cookbook Store will be on hand with featured books and
autographs may be arranged.
Refreshment will be served.
