CINCYN Cindy Custodio and Cynthia Florek invite you to view their luxurious Spring 2005 collection on September 21, 2004 at 1pm in the Liberty Grand Artifacts Room. September 9th 2004 - TORONTO When a woman wears CINCYN, drama is an understatement and her effect is a presence to be reckoned with. She will stand out in a crowd knowing she looks and feels great, expressing her sense of style and femininity through a meticulous choice of fit, colour and detail. CINCYN is a label that is not only known for its detail-oriented ready-to-wear, but for high end, handcrafted leather bags which are offered as one-of-a kind. CINCYN is available at
Georgie Bolesworth, The Gardens of Healing Spa
and Boutique, Willow Grant and on line
with www.paperdoll.com.
The duo has set their sight on expanding across Canada and into the United
States. ABOUT THE DESIGNERS
Perhaps it has something to do with the designer's similar fiery personalities - Custodio is of Filipino/Spanish roots and Florek descends from Mexican/Polish heritage - but their comparable taste in design and their chemistry as friends and work partners prompted them to establish CINCYN in 2002. In addition to the line's own success, this popular and world traveled duo was hired as consultants to overview the initial launch of NBA 4 Her Canada. Their designs were worn by Nelly Furtado at the 2004 All Star Basketball Game in Los Angeles. CINCYN has garnered quite a media buzz in the two years
since the label first launched in Toronto. Their work is featured in
the premiere edition
of Toronto Shops, October's Highrise
Magazine, and Lucky Magazine.
