“KING OF PASTRY” JACQUY PFEIFFER TO PROVIDE GEORGE BROWN CHEF SCHOOLSTUDENTS WITH EXCLUSIVE TORONTO LESSON IN “SUGAR PULLING”
Chef from the critically acclaimed documentary “Kings of Pastry” and The French Pastry School in Chicago to demonstrate techniques to George Brown Chef School pastry students
TORONTO (March 30, 2011) – On Friday, April 1, one of the world’s best known pastry chefs, Chef Jacquy Pfeiffer of the French Pastry School in Chicago, will be at the George Brown Chef School to provide an exclusive lesson for the college’s pastry students. Media are invited to attend this special opportunity, which will include a pulled sugar demonstration and a question and answer period.
In May 2010, Chef Pfeiffer appeared in “Kings of Pastry,” a documentary that followed his journey before and during the prestigious 2009 “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” competition (Best Craftsmen in France) in Pastry. Chef Pfeiffer is also known for The French Pastry School in Chicago, an institution he co-founded with fellow pastry chef Sebastien Caronne in 1995.
WHAT: An exclusive pastry demonstration for students of the George Brown Chef School. Chef Pfeiffer will demonstrate sugar pulling for the students and will then open the floor to questions.
