1. What can I expect and learn from this session?

  • Suzette Martinuzzi, Pre-placement Coordinator will do a brief presentation of your specific program health form.
  • You will get your specific program pre-placement health form package.
  • Learn how to get started and how to successfully complete and submit your program health form prior to the deadline.
  • Learn how to create an account and book an appointment with ParaMed, the College’s Registered Nurse provider at  www.georgebrownhealth.ca  
  • Learn how to apply and process for your vulnerable sector police check application form according to your regional police service.

2. What if I’m unable to attend the information session, what should I do?

  • You are expected to start your health form requirements and submit your completed health form documents to Paramed prior to the deadline.
  • If you live in Toronto Region (with a postal code that start with “M”) and you cannot attend any of the session, it is MANDATORY that you book an appointment in order to pick-up and start your Toronto Police Service vulnerable sector application form as it takes 10 to 12 weeks to process and receive your police check result.
  • Failure to complete and submit all of the health form and vulnerable sector police check requirements by the deadline will EXCLUDE you from being eligible to attend placement. Therefore, you cannot continue for next semester.

3. What do I need to bring at the Information Session?

  • If you live in Toronto Region (with a postal code that starts with “M”), you must bring a government photo ID and a money order payment of $16.95 dollar payable to Toronto Police Service and we will give you the Toronto Police Service vulnerable sector police record check application form to complete and sign.
  • After the information session, we will collect both the original TPS application form and money order payment from and we will submit it to Toronto Police Service on your behalf.
  • Toronto Police Service will take 10 to 12 weeks processing time and they will mail your police check results at your home address.
  • Failure to submit a clear written vulnerable sector police check requirements by the deadline will EXCLUDE you from being eligible to attend placement. Therefore, you cannot continue into the program.
