Nursing is experiencing an unprecedented growth in career opportunities: Toronto-area jobs are expected to grow by almost 40% by 2011.

To provide the best care, you need the best preparation

Quality health care continues to be at the very top of the public agenda. In the past decade, the Canadian health care system has experienced advances in knowledge, treatment and prevention of disease, a growing commitment to primary health care as well as profound restructuring and cost pressures. These forces have resulted in growing opportunities in nursing and personal support.

George Brown's Centre for Health Sciences offers a wide range of nursing programs that prepare you to deliver quality nursing care and personal support services. You'll benefit from: our 80 faculty who are engaged in their profession, superior facilities, and access to clinical placements in leading health care organizations.

The Centre for Health Sciences offers a variety of nursing program, including:

  • Clinical placements in some of Canada's biggest and busiest hospitals and clinics, minutes from your classes
  • A unique bachelor's degree (BScN) nursing program in collaboration with Ryerson University and Centennial College that prepares you for practice as a Registered Nurse
  • A new two-year Nursing Diploma for Practical Nurses
  • A wide range of clinical and professional development courses for practising nurses
