Advisory Committees
The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) is
a voluntary organization that represents Canadian baccalaureate
and graduate nursing programs. CASN serves as the accrediting
body for George Brown College's Collaborative Baccalaureate
Program.
Accreditation of our Collaborative Program guarantees that
our graduates are eligible to write the provincial registration
examinations administered by the College of Nurses of Ontario
and practice as registered nurses in Ontario.
Placement Information
Students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program
are placed in an extensive range of traditional and non-traditional
health care agencies and downtown-based academic health sciences
centres. They're also placed in community health care
settings within the broader Toronto area.
The Registered Practical Nursing program ensures clinical placements
in community health care, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres,
and acute care hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area. Students
enrolled in the Personal Support Worker program are primarily
placed in clinical settings that provide long-term and community
health care.
