Michael Pinball Clemons Foundation gives $31,000 toward student scholarships

The Michael Pinball Clemons Foundation (MPCF) presented George Brown College with a $31,000 cheque in support of 10 student scholarships at its eighth annual Imagine Gala on Nov. 5, 2015.

Since 2009, the MPCF has provided 47 scholarships to George Brown students, valued at more than $116,000.

"We are very honoured to be receiving this gift from the Michael Pinball Clemons Foundation," says Cindy Gouveia, President of the George Brown College Foundation. "The MPCF has been incredibly generous in its support of our students, helping to ensure that they can have a quality education regardless of cost. We are truly grateful for this very generous donation."

The new awards, valued at $3,100 each, are offered to any full-time student who demonstrates financial need. To be eligible for the award, students must be enrolled in the second year or more of their program and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Students wishing to apply for the award must complete an application through George Brown College's Awards Office
