Our men’s basketball team ended an impressive season as the seventh-ranked team in the country after a win over Mount Allison University at the Canadian championship.

The George Brown Huskies capped off their appearance at the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association Open New Browser Window (CCAA) tournament in P.E.I. with a 95-74 win over Mount Allison on March 18.

The Huskies dropped their first two games of the tournament against Vancouver Island University and Lethbridge College.

It was the first time in 41 years our men’s basketball team played on the national stage.

George Brown made it to the nationals after finishing at the top of the Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) East Division. The Huskies fell to Sheridan College in the OCCA final but moved on to the nationals based on this season’s qualifying draw.

It was also a standout season for George Brown’s Ajahmo Clarke. He was named a CCAA All Canadian and an OCAA First Team All Star. This season he became the OCAA’s all-time leading scorer, finishing his regular season with a career 1,922 points.
