In order to evaluate your application for final admission, we would like to review a portfolio of your work.
You are asked to complete a G109 Letter of Intent form (pdf) and attach samples of portfolio work (item optional) as described on the Letter of Intent Form. This process is completed ONLY when you receive your letter of acceptance from our College to be considered for the divisional select process.

LETTER OF INTENT REVIEW REQUIREMENTS
The Letter of Intent is design to describe your future career objects and intention in the Game Development program. As an additional, optional component, a portfolio submission may be attached as an opportunity to display your talent and potential, and provides us with an insight into your ability to follow instructions and organization.
Following are the letter of intent and portfolio guidelines and criteria.
Letter of Intent Guidelines
NOTE: To complete the Letter of Intent you must use Adobe Acrobat 9. If you do not own Adobe Acrobat 9, you may complete your answers within the body of an email to apply2game@georgebrown.ca.
Portfolio Guidelines
All applicants should include 5 samples of work showcasing:
Traditional Art:
- Required Pieces: 3
- Work should include: Sketches, Paintings and/or Sculptures
- Submission: Photographs of work, submitted electronically
Digital Art:
- Required Pieces: 2
- Work should include: 2D Graphics and/or 3D Model Renders
- Submission: JPG, PNG and/or GIF of work, submitted electronically
In addition, applicants must submit drawings for a game character of choice found in a commercial game. Drawings must be hand drawn and include the following poses:
- One idle pose
- One action pose
The character drawings are intended to demonstrate an understanding of proportion and scale.
RESULTS
You will receive a letter confirming your results in the mail within one to two weeks of your evaluation. You MUST confirm your acceptance on your OCAS account to reserve a spot in the program.
