Jewellery Arts Grad Show
The Jewellery Arts Graduate Show and Awards reception will take place on April 15, 2010 at Bounty (Harbourfront Centre), 235 Queen's
Quay West at 6 pm. Featuring exceptional works from 13 young goldsmiths in the GBC's Jewellery Arts program.
The exhibition will run from April 16 until May 9, 2010 at Bounty. The exhibition will also be featured at Milton's Jewellers from
May 22-June 5 (10 Main Street East, Ridgetown) with an Opening Reception on May 21 at 7 p.m.
Jewellery Studies students and alumni exhibit work at the Spring One
of a Kind Show, March 31st through April 4th 2010, at the Direct Energy Centre.

The Art and Craft Schools of Canada section was created by the One of a Kind Show to promote public awareness of the schools
and introduce students to the retail show environment. Jewellery Studies is proud to be a part of this exciting exhibit.
Current students and alumni will be showcasing their unique jewellery pieces.

The show will later travel to Mitton's Jewellery. Charlie Mitton, the present owner and fourth generation of family goldsmiths, is an alumnus
of George Brown College. Jewellery Studies are proud to partner with our alumni to offer a second showing of the graduate show
in south western Ontario.

George Brown jewellery professor wins International competition.
Reena
Ahluwalia, a part-time professor in the Jewellery Arts program, was recently awarded the highly-coveted North American Tahitian Peal
Trophy (TPT) by The Cultured Pearl Association of America. This prestigious international affair, which took place earlier
this year in New York, was judged by top jewellery and accessories magazine editors, as well as a member of the Cultured Pearl Association
of America.
Reena's necklace “Ethereal Rhapsody” won the “Song of the Stars” TPT – North American category, and now enters the TPT International Awards phase, to be judged by the international jury in Kobe Japan this May. Reena also placed second in both the bracelet and brooch categories of the competition. Congratulations and good luck in Japan Reena!
