Program Comparison Help

Decision-making made easy! This tool gives you a breakdown of individual programs offered at George Brown College and how they differ from other programs you’re interested in. Use this tool to select up to 10 programs to compare, helping you make the right choice for the career you want.
Instructions:

1. Under Program Comparison, click Add a New Program

2. Search for one of the programs you’re interested in (either alphabetically, by interest or by job)

3. Click on the title of the program in the menu

4. Click Add to Comparison

5. Continue searching for programs using steps 2-4

6. When you’re done, clicking Program Comparison will give you a preview of the programs and the option to delete, add or clear all

7. Open Program Compare for more details and an easy-to-read comparison of the programs you’ve selected

Application Steps

APPLICATION STEPS  

You can choose between two methods to apply to the College

METHOD #1: 

APPLY DIRECTLY George Brown International 

STEP 1 

Complete the International Student Application Form. This form can be obtained

 

STEP 2 

Submit the Application Form to George Brown International with the $65 application fee and required Supporting Documents*

STEP 3 

If your application is successful you will receive a “Letter of Acceptance” from the College.

STEP 4 

Once you receive your Letter of Acceptance you must apply for a Study Permit (visa) or ensure your existing Permit is valid.

STEP 5 

Sign and return your Program Confirmation Form with payment to your Admissions Officer at George Brown International.

STEP 6 

Register for your program and complete course selection through Stu-View.

METHOD #2:  

 

APPLY TO ONTARIO COLLEGES APPLICATION SERVICE (OCAS) if you are considering more than one College 

STEP 1 

Obtain and complete your Application Form through:

  • Your school Guidance Office
 

STEP 2 

Submit the Application Form $95 fee and Supporting Documents * to http://www.ontariocolleges.ca 

All international (visa) students who apply through OCAS are required to send all international academic documents directly to International OCAS Admissions Officer at George Brown College.  Canadian highschool documents can still be sent directly to OCAS.

Please note that for international students a credential assessment report is not required.  Students may simply send their translated, notarized academic documents (originals or attested copies) directly to the GBC International Centre for review.

*Supporting Documents required for post-secondary programs:

  • Translated and notarized diploma / transcripts of senior secondary school and/or other level of post-secondary education completed
  • Proof of English proficiency such as TOEFL or IELTS
  • Portfolios and / or interview for some programs, such as Graphic Design, Fashion Design, and Early Childhood Education

We strongly recommend that all application materials be sent in one package. Otherwise, the processing of your application will be delayed.
