Research

In 2005, George Brown College, Hospitality and Tourism faculty, led a consortium of industry and educational partners in the development of a 10-year strategy and action plan for Culinary Tourism in Ontario. To view the final report, please visit, www.tourism.gov.on.ca

Using a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and industry experts, the strategy and action plan was the final result of primary and secondary research conducted over a period of 12 months.

In addition to the research, George Brown College hosted Canada's first Culinary Tourism Symposium, www.culinarytourism.ca, in March of 2005 and has since developed Canada's first post diploma program in Culinary Tourism - to be launched in September 2007.
