Program Comparison Help

Decision-making made easy! This tool gives you a breakdown of individual programs offered at George Brown College and how they differ from other programs you’re interested in. Use this tool to select up to 10 programs to compare, helping you make the right choice for the career you want.

1. Under Program Comparison, click Add a New Program

2. Search for one of the programs you’re interested in (either alphabetically, by interest or by job)

3. Click on the title of the program in the menu

4. Click Add to Comparison

5. Continue searching for programs using steps 2-4

6. When you’re done, clicking Program Comparison will give you a preview of the programs and the option to delete, add or clear all

7. Open Program Compare for more details and an easy-to-read comparison of the programs you’ve selected

Dental Office Administration Program (S115) 2015 - 2016 Certificate Full Time

The Dental Office Administration program will equip you with a strong combination of the office administrative skills and clinical knowledge necessary to work effectively in a dental practice. You will study dental office procedures such as preparation and maintenance of client records, inventory systems, recall systems, appointment scheduling, dental insurance, accounting and computer literacy (including dental software), as well as oro-facial anatomy, terminology and basic clinical dentistry theory.

Health Informatics Program (Postgraduate) (T402) 2015 - 2016 Post Graduate Full Time

Courses in this program are offered online, plus some Fridays and Saturdays, allowing students to continue working during their studies. Health-care and information systems professionals currently employed or with experience in a health-care or technology environment, or who have an interest in the advancement of information technologies in the health-care delivery sector, will be interested in this program.

Health Information Management Program (C139) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

Health Information Management is a two-year diploma program that focuses on providing the skills and knowledge needed by health information practitioners. It prepares graduates to participate in the collection and organization of health information.

Office Administration Program - Medical (C115) 2015 - 2016 Diploma Full Time

Office Administration - Medical is a two-year diploma program that gives you the opportunity to develop the skills, abilities and knowledge needed in today’s dynamic medical environment. You will learn practical skills, including computer applications, medical terminology, transcription and office procedures, OHIP billing as well as important verbal and written communications skills.

Pre-Health Science Program (A102) 2015 - 2016 Certificate Full Time

The Pre-Health Science program will prepare students to perform at a level that will assist them in gaining entry to a Health Sciences program at George Brown College, including Practical Nursing. It also gives students a basic understanding of social sciences and human relations, to help them relate to people at college in further studies and at work in health care institutions or with health care providers. Throughout this program, students study biology, chemistry and physics. Other courses include applied math, communications and computer literacy.
