To provide the best care, you need the best preparation

We are committed to preparing graduates who are able to practice in today's multidisciplinary health care environment. In keeping with this commitment, we provide our students with opportunities for integrative learning with students enrolled in other health sciences programs. These include shared clinical practicums and an annual symposium on trends and issues in health care.

School of Dental Health
Our reputation as Canada’s largest and most diverse educator in dental health has created a very high demand for the dental assistants, hygienists, dental technicians and denturists who graduate from George Brown College. Students learn from qualified faculty in an exceptional environment that meets the industry’s highest standards.

School of Health Services Management
Office administrators and information managers are key players in dental and medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and a wide variety of health-related businesses. Our programs provide specialized computer and business skills, and the clinical knowledge necessary to become a valuable team member.

School of Health & Wellness
Our Orthotics / Prosthetics programs prepare students to make braces and artificial limbs and the Hearing Instrument Specialist program trains students in the testing and dispensing of hearing aids – two unique career opportunities to improve the quality of life of many patients. Activation Co-ordinator / Gerontology students acquire specialized knowledge in the field of aging and learn to design programs that increase the physical activity of older persons in community centres and other facilities. Our Fitness and Lifestyle Management program has been recognized as a premier educator of health and fitness specialists for more than 30 years. As the field of fitness grows, so will the demand for qualified specialists.

Nursing
Nursing is experiencing an unprecedented growth in career opportunities: Toronto-area jobs are expected to grow by almost 40 per cent by 2011. George Brown College offers a wide range of nursing programs that will prepare graduates to fill this demand and deliver quality nursing care and personal support services. Students benefit from faculty who are engaged in their profession, superior facilities, and access to clinical placements in leading health-care organizations, located just minutes from our campus.
