What is Augmented Education – Food Court Social

The Augmented Education Program at George Brown College is an employment-focused training model combining elements of supported education that prepare students for the workforce and assists them in securing competitive employment. It also provides ongoing coaching for students and employers following placement in the workforce. Currently, we are able to offer both a culinary stream (Culinary Skills (Preparatory Training)) and a construction stream (Construction Craft Worker Extended Training).

To date, we have empowered hundreds of people with the skills they need to care for themselves. The student success rate has been remarkable. In 2015, 86 percent of graduates were still employed six months after graduation. The Augmented Education Program is the only known program of its kind in North America. With your help, we can build a kinder, more accepting and open community.
