Student Assistance Fund Ontario’s Student Access Guarantee states that no qualified Ontario student should be prevented from attending College due to lack of financial resources. Through tuition fees paid by all full-time students, the College has apportioned an amount to be distributed to students experiencing financial need. Applications are available at all three Counselling offices and all Financial Assistance offices at the college. Students complete the application, provide a budget and include a letter of explanation then submit the documents to the Financial Assistance office at St. James, Casa Loma, or Ryerson campus. In regular processing, students are advised by letter ore e-mail as to the results of the bursary application. If the situation is an emergency students are urged to speak to one of the consultants in Financial Assistance to speed the process. Bursaries are non-repayable but are subject to tax depending on amount.
