Biography

Dr. Richard Almonte is an experienced teacher, writer and researcher, with interests in professional and marketing communication, academic writing, soft skills, and the impact of narrative on all of these areas. He currently serves as the program coordinator for the B312 Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Digital Marketing) program.

Richard recently published A Practical Guide to Soft Skills (Routledge, 2022) and the eleventh Canadian edition of his textbook Essentials of Business Communication (Cengage, 2024) is forthcoming with co-authors Mary Ellen Guffey and Dana Loewy. Richard enjoys teaching a wide variety of courses at the diploma, degree and post-graduate levels.
