Biography
Joyce Manu is a management professional who has experience and expertise in strategic management, entrepreneurship, small business development, microfinancing and teaching. She has worked with credit unions and microfinance institutions in selected West African countries to help entrepreneurs there start and operate small businesses. With a keen interest in promoting entrepreneurship among disadvantaged women, Joyce has worked as a consultant on inclusive finance projects that focused on designing microcredit programs for that target group.
As a zealous adult educator, Joyce creates positive learning environments for learners of all kinds. She respects individual differences, builds rapport with learners and uses outcome-based pedagogical strategies in her classes to ensure that set outcomes are always achieved. Her plans for the near future are to finish her doctoral program while staying committed to teaching at George Brown College and engaging in professional development activities that exemplify her commitment to society.
