Biography

A professor at George Brown College since September 2011, Dorothy Bartlett has a passion for teaching and enabling her students to reach their full potential. She is a fully qualified lawyer having practiced law in Edinburgh Scotland specializing in the litigation area. She has been a teacher, at the high school, college and university levels, for more than 25 years, in Edinburgh, Muenster and Toronto and, with her experience teaching one to one and group classes, she is well equipped to enable students to progress from college to university.

Dorothy has been involved with the Scottish Qualification Authority, the Law Society of Scotland and the Scottish Paralegal Association in developing the curriculum for the Scottish Professional Development Award for paralegals. She has also been heavily involved in the continuing development of the Scottish Qualification Authority’s Higher National Diploma in legal services and in National Qualification law.
