Path through a forest (As You Like It)_300x200

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Feb. 8 - 18, 2017

A story of order and disorder, reality and appearance, and love and marriage. On a midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted and bewitched forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince, and a gaggle of friends presenting a play within a play. Chief mischief-maker Puck ensures the course of true love is anything but smooth. Games of fantasy, love, and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most beguiling and well-loved comedy.

As You Like It

Feb. 9 - 18, 2017

The story of lovers Rosalind and Orlando who, when forced to flee into the Forest of Arden, become ensnared in a game of romance and mistaken identity. Frenzied and beguiling, this charming play toys with our understanding of love, gender roles, nature, and politics, where sudden infatuation is as confusing as it is beautiful. As You Like It has everything we adore about Shakespearean comedy: mistaken identity, cross-dressing, madness, mayhem, rage, lust, laughter, and of course plenty of romance, both heartbreaking and joyous. As You Like It is romantic comedy at its most delightful.
