From Exclusion to Inclusion: Accessing Employment Through Education
An educational forum presented by George Brown College’s Centre for Preparatory & Liberal Studies in partnership with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).
The focus of this year’s conference will be on addressing barriers to education and employment success for individuals dealing with mental health concerns. Main themes will be inclusion, systemic issues, individual stories of challenge and success, and innovation. Speakers will include researchers, academics, activists, students, and alumni.

OSLT courses are free* sector-specific language training courses to help newcomers gain practical workplace communication skills and give them a better understanding of workplace culture required to communicate effectively on the job.
At George Brown College, we will be offering OSLT courses for the Business, Health Sciences & Construction – Skilled Trades sectors.
Eligibility
The OSLT courses are for newcomers who:
- Have training or experience in one of the specified sectors.
- Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 6-8.
- Are permanent residents or protected persons
*Funding provided by CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada)
