Program Comparison Help

Decision-making made easy! This tool gives you a breakdown of individual programs offered at George Brown College and how they differ from other programs you’re interested in. Use this tool to select up to 10 programs to compare, helping you make the right choice for the career you want.
Instructions:

1. Under Program Comparison, click Add a New Program

2. Search for one of the programs you’re interested in (either alphabetically, by interest or by job)

3. Click on the title of the program in the menu

4. Click Add to Comparison

5. Continue searching for programs using steps 2-4

6. When you’re done, clicking Program Comparison will give you a preview of the programs and the option to delete, add or clear all

7. Open Program Compare for more details and an easy-to-read comparison of the programs you’ve selected

How to Apply

Apply for Most George Brown College Programs in 3 Steps

#1: Complete the application form online early

Create a username and password at ontariocolleges.ca to apply. With one form, you can apply for up to five programs – up to three programs at one college. There is a non-refundable $95 application processing fee. The application is valid for one academic cycle. These helpful lists guide you through the process:

#2: Forward requested documents

Carefully follow the instructions for forwarding any required documents. Consider copying all your documents and filing them in a safe place.

#3: Confirm your offer

You will receive an email telling you whether you’re accepted. You must confirm your offer at ontariocolleges.ca.

Guidelines and Exceptions

Not all programs require that you apply through ontariocolleges.casee program pages for details.

Academic documents from outside Ontario must be translated to English. All international documents must be evaluated by International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) (icascanada.ca) or World Education Services (WES) (wes.org/ca) or Comparative Education Service (CES) (learn.utoronto.ca/ces.htm). Apply before the Equal Consideration date

To ensure that ontariocolleges.ca gets your application on time, apply online before February 1, 2011. If ontariocolleges.ca gets your application after, you will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis if space is available.

As soon as possible after November 1. For popular programs that fill quickly, applications must be received by February 1.

Starting February 1. Offers of Admission for most applicants will start to be released.

Mature students should apply even earlier to allow more time for admissions testing. Apply as soon as possible after November 1. The College will send you an acknowledgement stating that your application was received. Later, we will let you know:

  • whether you need to participate in any selection processes
  • whether you have been accepted into a program and how to confirm
  • how to register for your classes and placement testing
